Welcome to Peaceful Yoga. By enrolling in classes, purchasing memberships or class packages, attending sessions, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before participating.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Member” or “Student”) and Peaceful Yoga (“Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our studio, enrolling in classes, or purchasing any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. ELIGIBILITY
Our classes and services are open to individuals who meet the following requirements:
Participants must be 18 years of age or older to register independently.
Minors aged 14–17 may participate with written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Children under 14 may only attend classes specifically designated for youth.
All participants must complete a health intake form prior to their first class.
3. HEALTH & MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
3.1 ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Yoga and related wellness activities involve physical movement that carries inherent risks of injury. By participating, you voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, including but not limited to muscle strains, sprains, falls, and cardiovascular events.
3.2 MEDICAL CLEARANCE
You represent that you are in adequate physical condition to participate in yoga classes. We strongly recommend that you consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise program, particularly if you:
Are pregnant or postpartum
Have a recent or chronic injury, illness, or surgery
Have cardiovascular, respiratory, or neurological conditions
Are currently taking prescription medications that affect physical activity
3.3 INSTRUCTOR LIMITATIONS
Our instructors are trained yoga teachers, not licensed medical professionals. Nothing communicated by our staff during class or otherwise constitutes medical advice. Always seek guidance from a qualified physician for medical concerns.
4. REGISTRATION & MEMBERSHIPS
4.1 CLASS REGISTRATION
Classes may be reserved in advance through our online portal, by phone, or in person. We recommend advance registration as class sizes are limited. Walk-ins are welcome on a space-available basis.
4.2 MEMBERSHIP PLANS
Peaceful Yoga offers a variety of membership and class package options. All memberships and packages are subject to the following:
Memberships are personal and non-transferable.
Class packages and memberships are non-refundable unless otherwise specified at time of purchase.
Monthly memberships renew automatically on the same date each month unless cancelled in writing at least 5 business days prior to the renewal date.
Class credits have expiration dates as specified at the time of purchase and cannot be extended or refunded upon expiration.
4.3 CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS
We require at least 12 hours’ notice to cancel a class reservation without penalty. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before class, or no-shows, may result in forfeiture of the class credit. Late-cancel and no-show policies may vary for specialty workshops or events.
5. PAYMENTS & FEES
All fees are stated in U.S. dollars and are due at the time of purchase. Peaceful Yoga accepts major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge applicable fees.
Drop-in rates, class packages, and memberships are subject to change with reasonable notice.
Promotional rates and discounts cannot be combined unless expressly stated.
Returned payments or chargebacks may result in suspension of account access until resolved.
6. STUDIO POLICIES
6.1 CONDUCT
We are committed to maintaining a peaceful, inclusive, and respectful environment for all. All students and guests are expected to:
Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with kindness and respect.
Refrain from disruptive behavior during class, including loud conversations, use of mobile phones, or other distractions.
Honor the space by arriving quietly and settling in before class begins.
Peaceful Yoga reserves the right to refuse service or remove any individual whose behavior is disruptive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate.
6.2 ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class begins. Latecomers may not be admitted after class has started, at the instructor’s discretion, in order to protect the experience of other students.
6.3 PERSONAL PROPERTY
Peaceful Yoga is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Please leave valuables at home or use designated secure storage when available.
6.4 STUDIO ETIQUETTE
Remove shoes before entering the practice space.
Please silence all mobile devices before class.
Avoid wearing strong fragrances out of consideration for those with sensitivities.
Clean and return any borrowed props after use.
7. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA
Photography, video, and audio recording inside the studio—including during classes—is prohibited without prior written consent from Peaceful Yoga management. By attending events or participating in promotional activities, you grant Peaceful Yoga a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your likeness in marketing and promotional materials, unless you provide written objection.
8. WAIVER OF LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Peaceful Yoga, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in classes or use of studio facilities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peaceful Yoga and its representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your participation, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.
9. PRIVACY
Peaceful Yoga collects personal information—including name, contact details, and health information—solely for the purpose of providing our services, maintaining safety, and communicating with members. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required to operate our services or comply with applicable law. 10. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
Peaceful Yoga reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted in the studio and on our website. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Nassau County, New York.
